Lorien welcomes new manager at Johannesburg office

Lorien is expanding its South Africa office with the appointment of Ashrant Singh who joins as Technical Manager: Design, Projects & Compliance.

The Johannesburg-based operation was opened last year to meet growing demand in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).

An experienced mechanical engineer, Ashrant has more than 10 years’ experience in FMCG across the beverage, pet food, glass packaging and steel sectors. In his previous role, he was Regional Operations Manager leading a team of more than 100 people.

At Lorien, Ashrant’s role will include engineering consulting, compliance and project management work, while helping to grow and develop the compliance, project management and design functions and teams alongside Director Keegan Pather. Ashrant will leverage his network to drive business development across the RSA region.

He holds a double engineering major, as well as being a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Ashrant has a sound knowledge of business unit operations, world class manufacturing, RCM maintenance management, manufacturing operations safety and health and environmental management. His ability to link strategy to simple, short practical term plans and his strong interpersonal skills will be a great asset to the Lorien team in this challenging new role.”
