Lorien Engineering Solutions have appointed a further two Health and Safety Site Managers to strengthen and grow the current team.
Richard Whitworth and Matthew Gamesby join a growing team that works to identify and manage risks to ensure that companies are operating a safe and secure working environment for factory construction projects.
Richard brings many years of experience in site and contractor management across the UK. His project experience includes Cleveland Potash (ICL Boulby – UK) and Tata Steel. He is married with two teenagers and follows Manchester United. Richard takes an interest in large construction and civil engineering projects around the world. In his spare time, he enjoys watching his daughter play football or riding and walking in the countryside, especially the Lake District.
Matthew has experience in site and contractor management in the UK and mainland Europe. He has worked on projects for major companies including Coca Cola, GEA Engineering and Tesco. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family on walks through the North York Moors and watching Middlesbrough FC.

The latest appointments follow the arrival of Rebecca Wallace as Health and Safety Site Manager in May. Rebecca has more than 10 years’ experience as a health and safety professional, working in the food, construction and engineering industries.
Lorien specialises in capital projects for food, brewing, drinks, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics. The company is headquartered in Burton-upon-Trent, with international offices in Poland and South Africa.
Lorien was awarded a Gold Award for Health and Safety by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in 2020 - for the 28th consecutive year.
