Lorien engineers a sustainable future

Lorien has appointed an engineering consultant to take on the demands of a growing list of projects within the areas of industrial sustainability and energy. Since joining Lorien Engineering Solutions three years ago Martin Hobbs, who joined the company from Nestlé and previously Carlsberg, has concentrated on developing and delivering sustainability and capital investment projects for some of Lorien’s key brewing clients.

Engineering Director Steve Turner comments, “ In response to a growth in our client's requirements to reduce their energy costs and introduce green technologies, I am pleased to announce that Martin Hobbs will be operating proactively in this field as our Industrial and Energy Consultant. This focussed cross-sector role will allow us to take advantage of Martin's recent successes at Anheuser Busch InBev in the UK on energy and water saving programmes and associated projects.”
This is part of a continuing investment by Lorien in this field, with the recent appointments of Amy Wilding as business development manager for sustainability, and Jonathan Robinson as a sustainability engineer, joining the existing team of sustainable energy and building design engineers.
