Lorien joins leading sustainable development group

Lorien has become an industry member of  the Business Council  for Sustainable Development (BCSD-UK). BCSD-UK is affiliated to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

Director Steve Turner comments, "Being a part of the BCSD-UK places Lorien centrally within the UK's technology-led sustainability sector. The amount of consultancy work we are undertaking in this area is increasing steeply year on year.

The focus of BCSD-UK is on the practical implementation of sustainable development values and the promotion of sustainable development as a key to world class business standards and new business opportunities. The BCSD-UK mandate is:

• Providing business leadership as a catalyst for change to achieve a sustainable society
• Challenging convention and exploring new business/economic models.
• Sharing experience and knowledge.
• Identifying and promoting business opportunity in the process of change to a sustainable society.
• Working with Government towards achieving the goal of a sustainable society.
